Andrew Cooper
‘The apportionment of space and time are predominant factors in our being and the disruption of these foundations impels us to question and seek to substantiate our presumed reference.’
Multi media artist, Andrew Cooper studied at the Royal College of Art, London. During this time he worked with the renowned Sculptor and Artist, Eduardo Paolozzi and EPR Architects.
Relocating to Cardiff he moved his studio practice into tactileBOSCH Studios in Llandaff North. Since moving back to Wales, Cooper has secured a number of prestigious commissions and awards from both arts & business bodies: including Artworks Wales, British Rail and British Gas.
I continue to reflect, assess and assimilate the themes, motifs and techniques that I have developed over the years. Exploring the complex connection between artwork, space and viewer. Themes that reflect an empathetic take on humanity and the world around me. Installations that are visually diverse and open-ended, but which aim to challenge and provoke.
