Matthew Killick
Matthew Killick has been making monotone oil paintings derived from his experiences underwater for the last four years.
Currently eight of his works are on permanent display in four billboards along Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch, London.
In the last year he has moved from painting on board, to paintings on glass which are then backlit by LED lights. He refers to these works as illuminated paintings.
His work has been collected by Bryan Adams, Damon Albarn, Viktor Wynd, and Simon Fuller.
In 2011 he collaborated with the fashion designer Roland Mouret, to make a collection of clothing that featured his work printed on silk.
