Scott Buchanan Barden
Scott Buchanan Barden creates expressionist images of town or village or city, often from a birds eye perspective; looking down upon the buildings and landscape from above.
Many of the works comment on the environment, social, political and historical; such as his series of Bruegel inspired pieces that update Bruegel's views on themes. These include Massacre of the Innocents, Triumph of Death and Return of the Hunters ( an allegory on food shopping and the environment ).
Scott has also been seen creating scenes based on historical events such as the Bristol Riots and the Slave trade.
Currently the artist is working on a project based on road kill, that comments on death and wildlife.
