BUY A PAINTING | SUPPORT AN EXHIBITION | ONLY 96 PAINTINGS AVAILABLE!

Visual Artist Shane Finan is donating his project "ADA" - a collection of 96 original, signed and dated acrylic paintings (10 x 10 cm) on 6mm board - to Wandelbar Art International. The money raised from the sale of these works is being used to fund the last part of a 'Celtic' tour which took place in Cardiff, Wales at BayArt gallery. This exhibition ran from November 21 - December 18, 2015. Further sales will go towards this and future exhibitions.

Wandelbar Art International is a non-profit arts organisation based in Bern and Gstaad, Switzerland. Its members comprise of long established to internationally famous artists in Switzerland and other countries. The paintings are being sold through our online store and are available for purchase below.

The competition is now closed for entries, although the paintings can still be purchased until end of year 2016.

Competition: To thank you for your support, the gallery is also offering the chance to win air flights to Switzerland if more than 40 of the paintings sell. The paintings collectively make up one large image, that will be distributed internationally to you as patrons. See the full image below.

Each individual artwork costs only €20.00 + postage.

About the project
In recent years Shane has worked on different studies using the concept of networked society and islands as places that are 'insulated' but part of a larger network of place. To this end, he has created the project 'ADA', a painting that is split into 96 distinct pieces, or islands, all of which will be distributed to people in places across the world. Made specially for Wandelbar (the 'changeable' art space), this collection of artworks will disperse to distant locations as insulated objects with global distribution.

The artist has kindly donated this project to Wandelbar and has requested no remuneration.
